Artwork & Intellectual Property Policy

When you submit artwork, you are asking us to reproduce it on your behalf. You confirm that you own it, or that you have the licences and permissions needed for the use you are asking for. We cannot verify ownership for you, and nothing on this site should be read as confirmation that your artwork is cleared for use.

We may refuse or hold an order, before or after payment, when artwork appears to involve:

• Someone else's copyrighted work used without permission
• Third-party trademarks, brand names or logos used without authorisation
• Counterfeit or replica branded goods
• Sports team, league, university or character marks used without a licence
• Photographs of people used without their permission
• Content that is illegal, hateful, or promotes violence or harm
• Anything we reasonably believe creates a legal or safety problem

If we hold your order, we will contact you. You can send proof of permission, change the artwork, or cancel for a refund of work not yet produced.

We review artwork so that we can decide what we are willing to print. That review is not a legal opinion, not a trademark or copyright search, and not confirmation that your use is lawful. If you are unsure whether you can use a design, speak to a lawyer before ordering.

We store your artwork to produce your order and to let you reorder it. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to promote Fab Labs unless you give us permission in writing.

If you believe artwork submitted by a customer infringes your rights, email support@fablabs.ca with the order or product involved, a description of the work, and your contact details. We will review the request and may hold production while we do.
